I came across this quote/meme/picture or whatever you want to call it, on Instagram. It said something along the lines of, your future mate MUST share your same passion for travel as you do. So I paused to read through the comments and I was quite intrigued by some of the responses from people, mainly women. After scrolling through a few lines of: “I would never...”, “I refuse…”, “I can’t see myself…”, etc., all I could think about was, I thought opposites attract?
With so much going on in the world, I can see why others might be a little hesitant to step outside their box. Not everyone is eager to be ExploRebel. (winkwink)
I realize that travel is full time job for some and a hobby for others, but please look at other qualities in a mate before you turn them down for not being a traveler. Maybe you can inspire them to grow to love travel as much as you do. If this is the case, remember it may not happen over night. Have patience!
Hello, my name is Melanie and I am a married solo traveler. :-) I’ve been married for 8 years now and travel & adventure is not something that my husband gets excited for. With the help of technology, I’m able to talk to him and see him while I’m away. My husband loves to see my pictures, hear about my stories and gets excited for the souvenirs I bring him back. As long as he supports me and occasionally sponsors me, lol, we are GOOD!
So I say, find a mate that SUPPORTS your passion for travel and encourages you to continue to do the things that you love.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…
